Before the foundation of this world we were in His mind,<\/p>\n
He carried out His plan of goodness through creation,<\/p>\n
We rebelled and died but He persisted in His love,<\/p>\n
And carried out His plan of grace through His only Son.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Even amidst the curse, hope was reflected through the promise of His Seed,<\/p>\n
He carried the promise to Abraham, and Isaac and Jacob,<\/p>\n
Then through the prophets and poets of His people Israel,<\/p>\n
Emmanuel would come, God would be with His people.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The first day of fulfillment dawned quietly with the birth of Messiah,<\/p>\n
Little baby Jesus born in a manger,<\/p>\n
Light had now dawned in a world of darkness,<\/p>\n
But darkness would not comprehend this carpenter from Nazareth,<\/p>\n
And the price<\/strong> of the promise<\/strong> would come through the death of the Prince<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Enduring the Cross, He looked past the Cross,<\/p>\n To the joy set before Him, to the children of salvation,<\/p>\n Yes, before the world began, we were in His mind.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The second day of fulfillment will arrive with a shout,<\/p>\n With the sound of the trumpet, the Lord Himself will descend,<\/p>\n From heaven this same Jesus will come to gather His own,<\/p>\n Even so, Lord Jesus, come!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Ran across this clearing out a box of miscellaneous.
