Commandments, not just suggestions. Not the Ten Suggestions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If you have been on the planet for any length of time and have been in church or listened to Christian radio, you surely have heard this. &#8220;Not just suggestions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>But what you probably HAVE NOT HEARD is this phrase&#8211;&#8220;Not Just Suggestions&#8221;&#8211;used in references to the two greatest commandments.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Interesting, isn&#8217;t it?<\/strong> The commandments that we have deemed most important &#8220;get all the press,&#8221; but the two COMMANDMENTS that Jesus says are the most important, the greatest, not so much.<\/p>\n<h2>Our priorities are skewed!<\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;Love God with all of your heart, soul, mind and might&#8221; <strong>&#8212; Not a suggestion!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Love your neighbor as yourself&#8221;\u00a0<strong>&#8212; Not a suggestion!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Love your enemies&#8221;\u00a0<strong>&#8212; Not a suggestion!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">And more &#8220;not suggestions&#8221; &#8230;<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">(Leviticus 19:18 ESV) You <em><strong>shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge<\/strong><\/em> against the sons of your own people, <\/span><span class=\"s2\">but <em><strong>you shall love your neighbor as yourself<\/strong><\/em><\/span><span class=\"s1\">: I am the LORD.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">(Romans 13:8 ESV) <\/span><em><strong><span class=\"s2\">Owe no one anything, except to love each other,<\/span><\/strong><\/em><span class=\"s1\"> for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">(Galatians 5:14 ESV) For the <em><strong>whole law is fulfilled in one word: <\/strong><\/em><\/span><em><strong><span class=\"s2\">\u201cYou shall love your neighbor as yourself.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">(Colossians 3:14 ESV) <\/span><em><strong><span class=\"s2\">And above all these put on love,<\/span><\/strong><\/em><span class=\"s1\"> which binds everything together in perfect harmony.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Not suggestions but it seems that too many of us\u00a0don&#8217;t know this.<\/p>\n<p>There is tremendous blessing in letting God establish our priorities and living by those priorities.
