{"id":110,"date":"2007-08-27T18:55:28","date_gmt":"2007-08-27T23:55:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.livingbythewordsofgod.com\/?p=110"},"modified":"2007-08-27T18:55:28","modified_gmt":"2007-08-27T23:55:28","slug":"hot-water-cold-water-amazement-and-thankfulness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dave.dlscott.info\/?p=110","title":{"rendered":"Hot water, cold water, amazement, and thankfulness."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Several months ago I had one of those moments when a seemingly very ordinary, mundane thing was revealed for what it truly was.<\/p>\n<p>I was standing at the kitchen sink, and boom, capow. . .it hit me.<\/p>\n<p>I move the handle this way (forward and to the right), and I receive cold, fresh water in an instant.<\/p>\n<p>I move the handle this way (forward and to the left), and I receive clean, hot water, ready for the task.<\/p>\n<p>I had done this thousands of times without a second thought but not this time.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>I saw the gift for what it was and I praised and thanked my God.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Do you want a refreshing drink of water?\u00a0 Oh, what is that you say?\u00a0 To have any water at all you have to walk 2k?\u00a0 And then the water isn&#8217;t potable, not fit too drink.<\/p>\n<p>But I just do this, move the handle forward and to the right and hold my glass under it until I have had my fill.<\/p>\n<p>And we haven&#8217;t even talked about hot, sudsy liquid to clean our dishes or scrub the dust of our bodies after a hard day&#8217;s labor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Several months ago I had one of those moments when a seemingly very ordinary, mundane thing was revealed for what it truly was.
