(1 Corinthians 8:1 NCV) Now I will write about meat that is sacrificed to idols. We know that “we all have knowledge.” Knowledge puffs you up with pride, but love builds up.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Why do you study the Bible?<\/p>\n

“Cliche, cliche, cliche. . .” “Blah, blah, blah. . .” “Religious blather. . .”<\/p>\n

No, I mean why do you really study or read the Bible?<\/p>\n

Too many of us study to defend our Bible knowledge database.<\/p>\n

Maybe you can Google that to see if that is a valid or biblical reason to look into the thoughts of God. You will have a better chance for affirmation on the internet because you won’t find it in the Bible.<\/p>\n

Shouldn’t we pursue God’s words because we are hungry for spiritual food?<\/p>\n

Is it too far-fetched to look at Scripture more like a pantry than a library?<\/p>\n

Merely building your biblical database puffs you up, throws open the door to intellectual pride.<\/p>\n

But we don’t get it and that is why we spend so much time arguing for the kingdom of God instead of building it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
