We know that &#8220;we all have knowledge.&#8221; Knowledge puffs you up with pride, but love builds up.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Why do you study the Bible?<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Cliche, cliche, cliche. . .&#8221;   &#8220;Blah, blah, blah. . .&#8221;   &#8220;Religious blather. . .&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>No, I mean why do you really study or read the Bible?<\/p>\n<p>Too many of us study to defend our Bible knowledge database.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe you can Google that to see if that is a valid or biblical reason to look into the thoughts of God.  You will have a better chance for affirmation on the internet because you won&#8217;t find it in the Bible.<\/p>\n<p>Shouldn&#8217;t we pursue God&#8217;s words because we are hungry for spiritual food?<\/p>\n<p>Is it too far-fetched to look at Scripture more like a pantry than a library?<\/p>\n<p>Merely building your biblical database puffs you up, throws open the door to intellectual pride.<\/p>\n<p>But we don&#8217;t get it and that is why we spend so much time arguing for the kingdom of God instead of building it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(1 Corinthians 8:1 NCV) Now I will write about meat that is sacrificed to idols.
