Lesson Three:\u00a0 Allow rebellion and fear dictate your direction.<\/p>\n
Listen to your heart, your gut feeling, your inner you.\u00a0 True you will have to disregard the facts that you have yet to escape your depravity, and that your heart is deceitful and desperately wicked and that your ways and thoughts are below God’s ways and thoughts as the earth is below heaven.<\/p>\n
But all that aside, look inside for spiritual direction, dummy! \u00a0 And they did.<\/p>\n
They cried (11.1), they grumbled, they\u00a0 picked up rocks to “take out” their perceived obstacles.<\/p>\n
Numbers 14:9-11 ESV\u00a0 Only do not rebel<\/u> against the LORD. And do not fear<\/u> the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection is removed from them, and the LORD is with us; do not fear them.”\u00a0 (10)\u00a0 Then all the congregation said to stone them with stones. But the glory of the LORD appeared at the tent of meeting to all the people of Israel.\u00a0 (11)\u00a0 And the LORD said to Moses, “How long will this people despise me? And how long will they not believe in me<\/u>, in spite of all the signs that I have done among them?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
When things really look bad, don’t believe God.\u00a0 Do what you “know” is right!<\/p>\n
Now my prayer<\/u>.\u00a0 Oh, Lord God, how many times have I depended on my own strength?\u00a0 How many times have I run away from your will?\u00a0 How many times have I been too rebellious and fearful to believe you?\u00a0 I confess my sin and ask your forgiveness.\u00a0 And, Father, help me to live by faith not by sight.\u00a0 Help your Church, Lord, to live by faith not by sight.\u00a0 Help us to listen and believe and follow you, Mighty God, Lord Jesus.\u00a0 Help us to not resist you, Holy Spirit.\u00a0 Amen.\u00a0 And amen!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
