For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? A significant effect of its shallow depth is that for all or most of the time, it has no thermocline.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=X&amp;start=4&amp;oi=define&amp;ei=pV1vSM-wIaWOggSB58DjAg&amp;sig2=8f3oYoL9hDN6S9DlqZA_Ig&amp;q=http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mere+%28lake%29&amp;usg=AFQjCNG2z7raS6OwWoDLaSan80TkAloYDQ\"><font color=\"#008000\">en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mere (lake)<\/font><\/a><\/font><\/li>\n<li><font size=\"-1\">The sea;  A pool or lake; a marsh; Just, only; the smallest amount<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=X&amp;start=7&amp;oi=define&amp;ei=pV1vSM-wIaWOggSB58DjAg&amp;sig2=qUA9wNvMJh4ITscydyj4HQ&amp;q=http:\/\/en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/mere&amp;usg=AFQjCNEemBh5IKgluSojUI3WLgoiugk6tw\"><font color=\"#008000\">en.wiktionary.org\/wiki\/mere<\/font><\/a><\/font><\/li>\n<li>Only this, and nothing else; such, and no more; simple;  bare; as, a mere boy; a mere form.<\/li>\n<p><\/font><\/font><\/ul>\n<p>What is the missing ingredient of mere Christians?<\/p>\n<p>The Spirit of God.\u00a0 As we walk by the Spirit, live by the Spirit, we receive the things of God.\u00a0 The Spirit adds &#8220;God-stuff&#8221; to our lives.\u00a0 We are no longer mere humans.<\/p>\n<p>We become humans who are filled by the Spirit of God.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1 Corinthians 2:12-14 ESV\u00a0 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.\u00a0 (13)\u00a0 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.\u00a0 (14)\u00a0 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>We live differently because of what has been added to our lives that raises us above a basic existence on this Earth.<\/p>\n<p>The God-additive, dude.<\/p>\n<p>Human bean, plus forgiveness in Jesus Christ, receive the gift of eternal life, receive the Spirit of God, walk by the Spirit, living large on God&#8217;s highway.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re not called to be nice.
