{"id":26,"date":"2007-05-10T20:59:04","date_gmt":"2007-05-11T01:59:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.livingbythewordsofgod.com\/?p=26"},"modified":"2007-05-10T20:59:04","modified_gmt":"2007-05-11T01:59:04","slug":"i-was-rude","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dave.dlscott.info\/?p=26","title":{"rendered":"I was rude."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was rude to someone at work yesterday, and I paid for it when I saw the anxiety on his face that I was partially responsible for.\u00a0 I hated to see his look of anguish and confusion, and I was disgusted with myself.\u00a0  So many things to cause anguish in this world, and I was a part of his bad day.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes we get too businesslike, too hurried, got to get the job done and people get in the way.\u00a0 Shame on me; shame on us.\u00a0 What I did wasn&#8217;t horrible but it was horrible in the fact that it hurt instead of helped.\u00a0 I hurried him; didn&#8217;t respect what he was doing.\u00a0 My. . .how important I am.\u00a0 How dare someone interrupt my day.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully I was able to eventually help him.\u00a0 And now that I have been thoroughly rebuked by the situation, I will be more considerate. \u00a0 However, I will remember the unpleasantness for some time, so even my &#8220;jerkiness&#8221; will serve some good purpose.<\/p>\n<p>(1 Corinthians 13:5 NCV)\u00a0 <strong>Love is not rude<\/strong>, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others.
