It\u2019s what they do. <\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">(2 Chronicles 36:16 NLT) But the people <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b>mocked<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> these messengers of God and <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b>despised<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> their words. They <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b>scoffed<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> at the prophets until the LORD\u2019s anger could no longer be restrained and nothing could be done.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">(Proverbs 1:22 ESV) How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will <b>scoffers<\/b> delight in their <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b>scoffing<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> and <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b>fools<\/b><\/span><b> <\/b><span class=\"s3\"><b>hate knowledge<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b>?<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">(2 Peter 3:3 ESV) Knowing this first of all, that <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b>scoffers<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> will come in the last days with <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b>scoffing<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\">, following their own sinful desires.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">(Acts 17:32 ESV) Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b>mocked<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\">. But others said, \u201cWe will hear you again about this.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">(Galatians 6:7 ESV) Do not be deceived: <\/span><span class=\"s3\"><b>God is not mocked<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\">, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Believers believe. That\u2019s what we do \u2026 <\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Our faith is not blind faith.<\/b> We have good reason to believe our God. We intimately know the Person we trust. We live in him and in his words. We know that he is true and what he says is true because it is plain and clearly perceived in the world around us.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>We have evidence<\/b> to support our belief system because we have a written, accurate account from the only eye witness. What we observe fits this written account because the written account is true.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>We have no need to suppress the truth<\/b> because truth is the foundation of our belief system. Those who oppose our written account\u2014God\u2019s word, the Bible\u2014have a tremendous obstacle in their quest.
