Was thinking earlier today at work.\u00a0 By the way I really missed the boat on the title for the previous post “One with my machine.”\u00a0 Should have been “Me and the Caterpillar.”<\/p>\n
Anyway my thought earlier from today’s version of “me and the caterpillar.”\u00a0 Nothing is quite so encouraging as being freed by the truth. \u00a0 The truth does set us free, free from enslavement to the circumstances of this life, free from my guilt, free from my worries, free from my frustrations.\u00a0 Because truth will give us a right picture of reality.\u00a0 And one truth that is very freeing is the sovereignty of God.\u00a0 God runs the world; I trust him for it.<\/p>\n
Switch to the opposite for a moment.\u00a0 What discourages us?\u00a0 The feeling of being trapped, dead-end street, no way out of this mess, baby!\u00a0 But, oh, wait a minute.\u00a0 My circumstances are lying to me and I am being stupid enough, or worn down enough, to believe them.\u00a0 Financial stress can discourage or depress us — no way out.\u00a0 Problems with our health.\u00a0 Problems with our children.<\/p>\n
God’s word is a truth agent, thus a freedom agent.\u00a0 But only if we allow the words to do their intended work.\u00a0 What is the Bible profitable for?\u00a0 Changing our lives.\u00a0 Are we submitting to the change authority of the Word of God?\u00a0 Are we allowing God to bring freedom to us in our transformed lives, transformed perspective of life?<\/p>\n
