He had four unmarried daughters, who prophesied.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Six women in the Bible are called prophetesses:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">(Exodus 15:20 ESV) Then <b>Miriam<\/b> the prophetess \u2026 (Judges 4:4 ESV) Now <b>Deborah<\/b>, a prophetess \u2026 (2 Kings 22:14 ESV) \u2026 <b>Huldah<\/b> the prophetess \u2026 (Nehemiah 6:14 ESV) \u2026 and also the prophetess <b>Noadiah<\/b> \u2026 and Isaiah\u2019s second wife \u2026 (Isaiah 8:3 ESV) And I <b>[Isaiah] went to the prophetess<\/b> \u2026 (Luke 2:36 ESV) And there was a prophetess, <b>Anna<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>_____________________________________________________<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Jezebel\u2019s teaching was a lie:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u2026 and Jezebel is the same: to deceive God\u2019s people by persuading them to adopt a lifestyle that would allow them to be accepted in the world and to continue membership in the church. <i>[Kistemaker, S. Grand Rapids: Baker Book House.]<\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Jezebel\u2019s life was a lie:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Jezebel \u2026 \u201ccalled herself a prophet.\u201d In other words, she claimed that her teaching was a direct message from God. <i>[Osborne, G. Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Academic.]<\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Jezebel\u2019s teaching was demonic:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s1\">Satan\u2019s so-called deep secrets could refer ironically to the gnostics\u2019 claims to know (in an exclusive manner) the deep secrets of God; the Lord\u2019s response to such a claim would then be that their \u201cdeep secrets\u201d are inspired by Satan, not by God. <i>[Beasley-Murray, G.
