{"id":436,"date":"2010-01-16T11:33:48","date_gmt":"2010-01-16T16:33:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.livingbythewordsofgod.com\/?p=436"},"modified":"2010-01-16T11:33:48","modified_gmt":"2010-01-16T16:33:48","slug":"what-you-know-really-know-god-gives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dave.dlscott.info\/?p=436","title":{"rendered":"What you know, really know, God gives."},"content":{"rendered":"<h5 id=\"passage_heading\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Proverbs 21.10 (NIV)<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><sup id=\"en-NIV-16435\">1<\/sup> My son, if you accept my words<br \/>\nand store up my commands within you,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><sup id=\"en-NIV-16436\">2<\/sup> turning your ear to wisdom<br \/>\nand applying your heart to understanding,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><sup id=\"en-NIV-16437\">3<\/sup> and if you call out for insight<br \/>\nand cry aloud for understanding,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><sup id=\"en-NIV-16438\">4<\/sup> and if you look for it as for silver<br \/>\nand search for it as for hidden treasure,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><sup id=\"en-NIV-16439\">5<\/sup><strong> then you will understand<\/strong> the fear of the LORD<br \/>\nand find the knowledge of God.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><sup id=\"en-NIV-16440\">6<\/sup> <strong>For the LORD gives<\/strong> wisdom,<br \/>\nand from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><sup id=\"en-NIV-16441\">7<\/sup> He holds victory in store for the upright,<br \/>\nhe is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><sup id=\"en-NIV-16442\">8<\/sup> for he guards the course of the just<br \/>\nand protects the way of his faithful ones.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><sup id=\"en-NIV-16443\">9<\/sup> <strong>Then you will understand<\/strong> what is right and just<br \/>\nand fair\u2014every good path.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><sup id=\"en-NIV-16444\">10<\/sup> <strong>For wisdom will enter your heart<\/strong>,<br \/>\nand knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.<\/p>\n<h5>I don&#8217;t know everything<\/h5>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know everything, and I am not in the least bit concerned.\u00a0 I am, in fact, on a need to know basis with God but in the best sense possible.\u00a0 I know what God has given me, what he has decided I need to know he tells me.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">v6 For the Lord gives wisdom. . .<\/p>\n<p>Why do we get so upset because of what we don&#8217;t know?\u00a0 What if someone asks me this?\u00a0 Or how do I answer that?<\/p>\n<p>If I am pursuing God and receiving his words of truth, then I know everything I need to know and what I do know has entered my heart.\u00a0 (See verse 10.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">v5 Then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.<\/p>\n<p>Pursuing God we come to know God, not just truth about God.\u00a0 Only truth about God does not produce this wonderful fear that indicates we are in the presence of majesty and we must bow.\u00a0 Now this reverence blankets us in a holy hush.\u00a0 Shh. . .You don&#8217;t need to be concerned with such child.<\/p>\n<p id=\"passage_heading\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Habakkuk 2:20\u00a0(NIV) &#8220;. . .the LORD is in his holy temple;
