Reading NASB Updated this year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Did I tell you?\u00a0 I think not.<\/p>\n<p>My wife and I are using the NASB for our Bible reading this year.<\/p>\n<p>I cannot say enough about consistent reading of God&#8217;s word.<\/p>\n<p>In my book &#8220;Living by the Words of God&#8221; I have my 4 R&#8217;s:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Read<\/li>\n<li>wRite<\/li>\n<li>Reflect<\/li>\n<li>Respond<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Just recently I have added another R:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Refine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Back to the lab &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>As with any &#8220;field testing&#8221; some adjustments will be made in our pursuit of God through his holy book the Bible.<\/p>\n<p>So we learn it, take it to the practice field, work it out, and then back to sit before our Master for more lessons.<\/p>\n<p>We don&#8217;t learn the ways and thoughts of God by merely study but by living these truths in the laboratory we call life.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hebrews 5:14 (NAS)\u00a0 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Hebrews 5:14 (NIV84) But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;Because of practice&#8221; &#8230; &#8220;by constant use&#8221; &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We study for direction but the cycle is not complete until we live the truth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Did I tell you?\u00a0 I think not.
