{"id":504,"date":"2010-06-04T20:38:01","date_gmt":"2010-06-05T00:38:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.bottlerockettheology.com\/?p=22"},"modified":"2010-06-04T20:38:01","modified_gmt":"2010-06-05T00:38:01","slug":"crying-for-the-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dave.dlscott.info\/?p=504","title":{"rendered":"Crying for the world"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Do you ever feel like that?<\/p>\n<p>Crying for the world, I mean.<\/p>\n<p>So much tragedy and heartache; our little frail systems can&#8217;t handle the information; we overload; we cry.\u00a0 But usually this is for someone close to us; a family member, close friend, neighbor, co-worker.<\/p>\n<p>But sometimes it is the panorama of sadness that breaks down our fragile emotions; the pain, suffering and loss of people we don&#8217;t know and have never heard of.\u00a0 And we cry.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t imagine what Christ experienced as he lived here.\u00a0 What agony of heart!\u00a0 What frustration as he opened his arms and we turned away!\u00a0 And he, of all people, knew there was an answer, a better plan, as he was the &#8220;plan,&#8221; but it still hurt as he, too, sometimes cried for the world.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Luke 13.34 MSG<br \/>\nJerusalem, Jerusalem, killer of prophets, abuser of the messengers of God!<br \/>\nHow often I&#8217;ve longed to gather your children, gather your children like a hen,<br \/>\nHer brood safe under her wings\u2014 but you refused and turned away!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you ever feel like that?
