They had worked hard and endured; they could sniff out a false teacher like a bloodhound. <\/p>\n
But the distance between knowing about God and even working hard for God compared to loving God is so great that God was going to judge them if they couldn’t make their way back to a loving relationship with their Savior.<\/p>\n
He drew a very clear distinction between their idea of service and his idea of devotion. You can serve and not be devoted. You cannot be devoted and not serve. <\/p>\n
