This is my arrangement of “Near the Cross.”\u00a0 Although given the context it may be better put – “This is how I do it.”\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Country gospel, guitar and harmonica … Yes, that’s me.\u00a0 And loving it.<\/p>\n
Throw in a banjo and some bass and maybe I’m in heaven.\u00a0 If a fiddle finds its way to the party then I have arrived.<\/p>\n
What can I say?\u00a0 It’s part of me.\u00a0 And I am very glad.\u00a0 Takes me to pleasant places.\u00a0 Growing up with the truth of Jesus Christ being taught and sung in the way we knew how.<\/p>\n
I love all types and varieties of music.\u00a0 Some goes to and comes from my roots.\u00a0 Country gospel would fall in that “some” category.\u00a0 Take my shoes off, go out on the porch with my guitar and sing.\u00a0 There I am – exposed for the hick that I am.\u00a0 For all my classical training in college, I still love the guitar and harmonica.<\/p>\n
