Message Title: Draw Near to God, You Sinners!
Message Text: James 4:6-12
Hopefully, everything is now finalized. I received the first order of 15 books; did another intense proofread; everything complete. Looks very good. Happy with the final result. Download a copy and let me know. Or better yet go to my storefront and buy a hard copy. 🙂

I have begun teaching through my recently finished book–God’s Word: Learn It, Live It, Love It!–so I think I am going to try to record those classes in case someone may be interested in following the study online.
So here are the MP3s for Sunday School and Morning Worship.
Hello All,
I have received my proof copy back and have reviewed and revised. Am waiting for my first batch of the print copies. I will begin teaching through this in our Sunday School on January 3, 2016.
Here is a link for a free download if you are interested. I would appreciate your feedback if you do download. Thanks.

“Who peed in your Wheaties?”
You’ve heard that expression I am sure. So what does it mean?
Someone has ruined your day, blocked your path to a good day. Thwarted your quest for happiness.
Some people it seems get their Wheaties peed in every day. Why? They do not know where true happiness is. They do not know where to find joy and pleasure that God gives and no one on this earth can spoil.
Too much friendship with and hope in this world. Too little friendship with and hope in God and the truth of God’s word.
In our text this week, James breaks down the reason that we fight and quarrel with each other. So simple, so profound. And … so ignored. The person who fights and quarrels has a war raging inside. That person is conflicted, torn between friendship with God and friendship with the world. And just as with the double-minded person in chapter one, this person should expect nothing from God.
This person is leaning heavily on his or her own wisdom and the earthly wisdom of the times. They may profess the wisdom of God, but their discontented life tells a far more compelling story.
God promises joy and pleasure and peace and contentment. God delivers on his promises. I am not saying we will not have great conflict. We still live on a dark planet. What I am saying is that ultimately our delight has to be in God, or we will struggle with life.
If you get your Wheaties peed in every day of your life, then maybe you need to rethink your happiness strategy and what you truly value, because the things God teaches us that are truly valuable are out of reach for the whiz kids. 🙂
Message Title: Fighting, Quarreling & the Pursuit of Happiness!
Message Text: James 4:1-7
Hello All,
Here is the audio for this past Sunday.
Message Title: Forgiveness!
Message Text: Ephesians 4:17-5:2
MP3:Â
Message Title: Stephen: Unconquerable Faith & Devotion!
Message Text: Acts 6 & 7
MP3:Â

God tells us to forgive one another and how to forgive one another. But we don’t listen to God and implement our own forgiveness strategies. So we sin. And others sin as they allow the “forgiveness freelancers” to continue in their sin without rebuke.
Many in the Church are not walking with God because of this disobedience and the Church is weakened because of it.
Obey God. Walk with him. Let God work out the sticky details. Get our own lives together.

Message Text: Ephesians 4:32

Matthew begins his gospel with these words: “The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.”
Message Title: Grace & the Grandmothers of Jesus Messiah!
Message Text: Matthew 1

How is it that only members of the “Bad Girls Club” (with one notable exception) make the list in the genealogy of Jesus Christ in Matthew 1?
◼︎ Tamar: Disguised as a prostitute, had sex with her father-in-law …
◼︎ Rahab: Prostitute turned spy turned faithful heroine …
◼︎ Ruth: Came softly in the middle of the night to sleep beside an older man to secure a position …
◼︎ Bathsheba: Bathed naked and had sex with her neighbor’s husband …
This is not how we would go about writing an account of the family tree of our most esteemed member.
What happened? Why did God do this?
