“I just wish it would stop raining.”

As Wiebold squished across her sodden living room carpet, thunder rumbled in the distance. She sighed and expressed a sentiment that is likely on most Iowans’ minds.

“I just wish it would stop raining.”

I don’t know.  It is like stand back and let God speak to us.

I can’t explain what is going on and won’t be foolish enough to try, but God is there, always has been, always will be.

But isn’t it so very difficult to grab some perspective when your clothing and furniture are floating in the living room, your floors are buckling or will be, and you are wondering how in the world you will recover from this.

It has to be God, the Holy Spirit of God, direct intervention from the Most High God, which can bring our minds and hearts to something other than the wreckage of lives.

Pray and give if we haven’t been devastated with the water.

Trust God (really it is more than cliche) if you have been hammered by the floods.
