- They supposed that the kingdom of God was to appear immediately.
- They celebrated his prophetic, triumphal entry to Jerusalem.
- The way to true peace was hidden from their eyes.
- They doomed themselves because God came to help them and they didn’t recognize it.
- And they hung on the words of Christ to the dismay of the religious leaders of their time.
- Then the following week they screamed, “Crucify him, crucify him!”
