Dave and country gospel … Near the Cross, Dave Arr.

This is my arrangement of “Near the Cross.”  Although given the context it may be better put – “This is how I do it.”  🙂

Country gospel, guitar and harmonica … Yes, that’s me.  And loving it.

Throw in a banjo and some bass and maybe I’m in heaven.  If a fiddle finds its way to the party then I have arrived.

What can I say?  It’s part of me.  And I am very glad.  Takes me to pleasant places.  Growing up with the truth of Jesus Christ being taught and sung in the way we knew how.

I love all types and varieties of music.  Some goes to and comes from my roots.  Country gospel would fall in that “some” category.  Take my shoes off, go out on the porch with my guitar and sing.  There I am – exposed for the hick that I am.  For all my classical training in college, I still love the guitar and harmonica.

No apologies.  Only praise.

Maybe too much time on my hands this holiday weekend.  (Not true.)

I dragged (more proper than drug I understand) this song out of the archives.  So enjoy as I have.  What a message!
